Neuro-Affirmative Therapy

I’m a neuro-affirmative therapist offering a space where neurodivergent identity is seen, respected, and celebrated.

I bring both professional experience and my own lived experience of neurodiversity to the work we do together. I’ve had the privilege of supporting many clients who self-identify as neurodivergent or have a formal diagnosis such as ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, or Dyslexia.

A Different Paradigm: Neurodiversity as Diversity

I view neurodiversity not as a deficit, but as a valid and valuable way of being in the world. My approach is grounded in the belief that your bodymind is not problems to be fixed — but a unique systems to be understood, supported, and honoured.
Together, we’ll explore the challenges and strengths that come with your neurotype, and co-create a therapeutic process that aligns with your goals, needs, and intentions.

Trauma-Informed & Empowering

I understand how trauma and neurodivergence can intersect. My practice is trauma-informed and resourcing-focused — helping you rebuild both internal and external connections. A core part of this work may involve finding safe, affirming ways to unmask and reclaim aspects of your neurodivergence, free from the medicalised or deficit-based narratives that so often dominate mainstream perspectives.

This can be healing, empowering, and even liberating.

Regulation, Expression & Transcendence

Therapeutic support can help with self-regulation, emotional processing, and nervous system balance. But it can also open space for something deeper.

For example, stimming — often misunderstood — can be a powerful form of sensory regulation, emotional expression, and even spiritual connection.

As Nick Walker describes:
“In addition to serving to integrate and regulate sensory, perceptual, cognitive and emotional experience, stimming can also function as a way of exploring and relating to the sensory world… not only as a means of accessing a wide range of cognitive and emotional experiences but also exceptional human capacities such as flow states, experiences of profound communion, and ego transcendence.”
